Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it gives us immense pleasure to
invite you to the Asia Pacific Digestive Diseases Week 2008 scheduled to be
held on 13-16 September 2008 in New Delhi, India.
This is for the first time, Indian Society of Gastroenterology is hosting
the Asia Pacific Digestive Diseases Week and is thus, a proud moment for
both physicians and scientists in India. Participating in APDW organization,
are also Indian Association for the Study of the Liver, Society of
Gastrointestinal Endoscopy of India and Indian Association of
Gastrointestinal Surgeons. With inputs from all these different
societies, the academic program is expected to be very broad based and
exciting and should represent well the prevailing standards of clinical
practice and research in Gastroenterology in the Asia Pacific region.
Delhi, the capital of India, offers a fascinating mix of old and new eras –
historical buildings, temples and modern shopping complexes. The city is
full of life with roads often packed with cars, buses and auto rickshaws
moving slowly back to back and with hoards of people strolling on the
pavements and the malls. It offers a wide variety of experience to the
visitors.
’The Ashok’ Hotel itself gives the grandeur of the Mughal royalty. It has
spacious halls and expansive lawns and is situated in the heart of the city
and yet very close to the hub of governance of Republic of India, 5 minutes
(approx) of drive to the Prime Minister’s residence.
An exciting scientific program has been chalked out by the organizing
committee in consultation with the national and international faculty. We
are also putting in our best efforts to make your visit comfortable and
memorable.
We hope you will join us in making this event a grand success. The
organizing committee looks forward to meeting you in September 2008.
